A heated debate has consumed the upper school’s social scene… Which meal deal is superior? The Wendy’s 4 for $4 or the Wendy’s Biggie Bag?

The Wendy’s 4 for $4 consists of fries, a drink, four chicken nuggets and the choice of a main entree. The eight options are a cheeseburger, a cheeseburger deluxe, a bacon cheeseburger, a double-stack cheeseburger, a crispy chicken sandwich, a crispy chicken BLT, a grilled chicken wrap and a spicy chicken wrap. All of this maxes out at only around 1,350 calories.

Max O’Brien, a senior at Episcopal, makes his case for the Four for $4. “The Four for $4 is better because of the lower price. For $20, I could buy five Four for $4s to only four Biggie Bags. That is an extra burger, drink, fries and nuggets for the same price. The Four for $4 also offers chicken wraps, which are healthier than the only burger option for the Biggie Bag”.

The Wendy’s Biggie Bag consists of a bacon double stack, a four-piece chicken nugget, small fries and a drink for $5. What is different from the Four for $4 is the Bacon Double Stack, which has two beef patties instead of the norm of two for the options for the Four for $4. The only option for the Four for $4 that has more than one pattie is the double stack cheeseburger, so the only difference between the Biggie Bag’s option is the bacon on the Bacon Double Stack.

Bruce Jackson, a junior at Episcopal, explains why he is “Team Biggie Bag”, “The Biggie Bag is far more superior than the Four for $4. For an extra dollar, the Biggie Bag comes standard with the double stacked bacon cheeseburger, an option (the double pattie) that the Four for $4 supposedly has minus the bacon and, the size of the bun goes down by 65% according to Wendys.com. The quality of the food is more enriching and worth an extra dollar. while the Four for $4 is hastily prepared and not with the care the Biggie Bag is made with.”

Both students give very convincing arguments for the Four for $4 and the Biggie Bag, and they each have their own benefits. Are you #Team444 or #TeamBiggieBag?
