Thanks to Hurricane Dorian, the Eagles played under the Monday Night Lights instead of Friday Night Lights last week. However, this did not stop the team from keeping their winning streak this season against Hilliard with a final score of 51-21.

While the scoreboard highlights the offensive victories, the defense played exceptionally well, too. The Eagles started the game with a safety and Langston Hardy got a pick-six towards the end of the game.

And after that pick-six by Hardy along with the other touchdowns, the cheerleaders led a new tradition, throwing spirit items into the crowd. On Monday’s game, the cheer team threw out “stress footballs” to a rather unenthusiastic student section and showed off new choreography.

This week for the first official Friday Night Game, the football team will face the Englewood Rams (1-1) in an attempt to remain undefeated. The theme for the students is disco, so come ready to boogie!
