With some fall sports drawing to a close and some continuing strong, we reached out to a member of each fall sport and asked them a little bit about themselves, how their season went/is going and highlights from their season.

Varsity Swimming…

Elizabeth Bell ‘20

Bell has been swimming at Episcopal since the seventh grade and is one of the team captains. When asked how the season was going she said, “My season is going pretty well. The dual and invitational meets are over, and it’s time for the championship meets. I hope to race well and have a good time.”

A highlight for Bell’s season was the Tampa Bay Classic, in St. Pete, “It is my senior year, so this was my last time going to the Tampa meet. It was pretty bittersweet. I am going to miss the girls a lot next year.”

Golf…

Alexandra Jenney ‘21

This was Jenney’s first year playing golf. She shared that “the season started off pretty rocky, not gonna lie. (I) had no idea what I was doing, but I really wanted to learn because golf is a timeless sport.”

Jenney’s highlight was not an event, but her coach. She shared, “Definitely Coach Levelle made the season for me. By the end of the season I felt extremely comfortable on the range because of his guidance and humor keeping me entertained.”

Varsity Cheerleading…

Reagan Reid ’23

This was Reid’s first year on the Varsity cheer team. She shared, “I feel like this season overall has been great so far because I’ve developed a bond with the girls, especially the seniors, and they’ve all became my sisters. I can ask them about anything, whether it’s education or just life in general.”

Reid cited her season highlight as “working together to create a routine for the school” for the school pep rally.

Varsity Football…

Chandler Fields ‘20

Fields has been playing football since he was in the fifth grade, making this his seventh and final year.

“The season isn’t yet over; however, it has been phenomenal so far. We have been working great (together) as a team, especially when it comes to resilience. We will never put our heads down if we are making mistakes. We are quick to fix them and we keep fighting.”

Fields said the “last second touchdown against Crescent City for the win was a highlight from the season… Good job to Tucker and Ja’Corey for that one.”

Cross Country…

Ellie Riggs’20

Riggs is one of the senior cross country captains for this year. Riggs stated, “Our team is running super well this season! My favorite part of being on the cross country team is that no matter how fast you are, we all support each other. The girl breaking the 21 minute mark and the girl not walking for the whole three miles receive the same amount of support and love.”

Riggs shared that the highlight of the season was the Tallahassee FSU meet. “This has been my favorite meet of the season because the course can be extremely intimidating (there is a massive hill), but the team ran tons of season bests and personal records. I lost my voice because I was cheering so loudly.”

The Episcopal Volleyball team also had a fantastic season, with most of the high school student body attending games both on and off campus to support them.
