On Saturday November 7, 2020, the presidential election was finalized. Joe Biden was elected the 46th president of the United States. This win will also go down in history as Kamala Harris is named the first female vice president of the United States, and Biden will be known as the oldest president elected. The race came to an end after four days of counting votes. Biden was leading against Trump with more than 4 million votes. With the corona virus being a huge topic of discussion it brought up a lot of tension during debates and when running. This topic was one of the most polarizing topics. Biden said that it is time “to unite, to heal, to come together as a nation.” Biden’s views resonate with far left ideals.
