On March 21, 2021, a Colorado supermarket was broadcasted on the news after a horrific shooting spree.

The 21 year-old suspect, Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, is to blame for the killing of 10 people, including the store manager and a police officer. The supermarket, King Soopers, is located in the college town near the University of Boulder.

Authorities still don’t know what the cause of these murders was, as they are still investigating. Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa was taken into custody less than 30 minutes after the panicked witnesses called 911.

The names of the victims who died are Denny Stong (20), Neven Stanisic (23), Rikki Olds (25), Tralona Bartkowiak (49), Suzanne Fountain (59), Teri Leiker (51), Boulder police officer Eric Talley (51), Kevin Mahoney (61), Lynn Murray (62) and Jody Waters (65).

As police continue to search for what may be the cause of this terrible act, Colorado and our country mourn the loss of these innocent lives.
