Hannah Logullo '22, Staff Writer

The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Benefit, more commonly known as the Met Gala, took place this past September and it was a fashion heaven.

The Gala is a prestigious event for the biggest of fashion enthusiasts and is one of the most exclusive events in modern pop culture.

This year, Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue Magazine and Global Chief Content Officer of Condé Nast, opened the guest list up to include some of pop culture’s favorite celebrities and the most influential designers.

The theme for this year’s Gala was “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion” and many celebrities came to serve.

The following is a compilation t of my favorite looks.

My favorite looks that were on theme:

Gemma Chan’s dress, designed by Prabal Gurung

Kaia Gerber’s dress, designed by Oscar de la Renta

Gigi Hadid’s dress, designed by Prada

Eiza González, dress designed by Versace

My favorite looks inspired by another famous look:

Nikkie Tutorial’s dress designed by Edwin Oudshoorn, which was inspired by Marsha P. Johnson

Kendall Jenner’s dress, designed by Givenchy, inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s dress in My Fair Lady

Yara Shahidi’s dress, designed by Dior, inspired by Josephine Baker

Anok Yai’s dress, designed by Oscar de la Renta, inspired by Joesphine Baker

If you have not seen these looks, definitely check them out!
