What a whirlwind week for the royal family!

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank tied the knot on Friday, after having known each other for eight years. The ceremony took place in St. George’s chapel, the same venue used by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle earlier this year.

The Princess wore a beautiful dress with a full train designed by Peter Pilotto and Christopher DeVos. Her choice to not wear a veil, coupled with the low open back was a conscious decision to display a large scar running down her back.

The scar remains from a major corrective scoliosis surgery that Princess Eugenie had at the age of 12. The Princess has been candid throughout her adult life about the struggles and triumphs she has had through her constant recovery. She chose to show her scar to the world as a statement about the value of health and her gratitude for the ability to walk down the aisle as gracefully as she did.

Diamonds and emeralds, including the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara on loan from Her Majesty the Queen, served as the Princess’s jewelry. The vibrant green gems brought out her equally jewel-like eyes.

A whopping 850 guests were on the list, making this wedding a strong follow-up to Harry and Meghan’s extravaganza.

Eugenie and Jack aren’t the only couple who have reached a milestone, Harry and Meghan announced a new royal baby! Kensington Palace released a statement Monday morning, that the couple is expecting their first child in the Spring of 2019.
