The 2024 primary election season has begun. Joe Biden is running as an incumbent for the Democratic party, as Donald Trump and Niki Haley are running against each other for the Republican party.
In the Republican primaries, Trump and Haley are the only two political candidates left. After Trump winning New Hampshire has given Haley less hope. From the recent polls, Trump is predicted to win but Haley continues to stand strong.
Ron DeSantis dropped out of the election on January 21. Some of the reasons he canceled his campaign is because he lost the Iowa Caucus to Trump, leaving DeSantis’s number of delegates in the single digits. He had a glitchy campaign launch on X (formerly Twitter). “It’s clear to me that a majority of Republican primary voters want to give Donald Trump another chance,” DeSantis said in his speech, where he also endorses Trump.
Many people are predicting Biden and Trump will once again be running against each other. In a recent post on instagram by Haley, there was a meme jabbing at Trump and Biden, calling them “grumpy old men” with a caption stating “the rematch nobody wants.” With the polls looking like the rematch will happen, Haley will continue to endorse her campaign and do as much as possible for the rematch not to occur.
