The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) were a night to remember. They showcased the best in music, with a blend of amazing performances and emotional speeches.
Held at the UBS Arena in Long Island New York, the event brought together the biggest names in the industry. Many talented artists were competing for the coveted moon person trophies.
The evening kicked off with a high-energy performance by Eminem, who set the tone for the night with his new song “Houdini.” In terms of awards, it was a triumphant night for Taylor Swift, who took home seven. Other notable winners included Chappell Roan, who won Best New Artist, and BTS, who continued their streak with the Best Group award.
There was a bit of controversy surrounding artists people believe deserve more recognition or were snubbed, such as Olivia Rodrigo and other popular artists who attended.
However, the VMAs were a night to remember for fans and artists alike. One of the night’s biggest highlights was the performance by Sabrina Carpenter, who performed a medley of her latest hits. She also won the song of the summer award for her song “Espresso.”
Carpenter’s energetic set was followed by a series of performances, including Chappell Roan, Camilla Cabello and Katy Perry.
The VMAs once again proved to be a celebration of creativity and artistry.
