Bloody lip stain: Lightweight and rose-scented, these lip stains leave your lips feeling smooth, without the heavy feeling many other lip products leave. They stain for hours (unless you have a habit of biting/licking your lips) and even after eating food the stain remains. I have never had a lip product that stains so well without having a leftover sticky feeling. Below I have listed out the colors that I own (in order from lightest to darkest) and will rate them on how often I find myself using them.
- Killer Bunny; This is their pinkest shade, it has a softer more peaceful vibe compared to how their others are “bloody”. I don’t use it often on my lips but it works excellently as a long-lasting blush. I find myself putting it on my cheeks at night (don’t do this if you have a lightly colored pillow case so it can rub off), so when I wake up I don’t have to bother myself with it. Personally, I say I’d use this two out of seven days of the week – 2/7.
- Bleeding Crystal; This is the lightest red shade that I own. I often use this when I want it to stand out in situations like a party or other occasions where I will dress up. I find this best when paired with a lip gloss (or a lip oil like the one I will review further down). This also works well as a blush for when you don’t want to have a pink look but have color on your cheeks. If the name doesn’t tell you ‘Bleeding Crystal’ looks the most like fresh blood when it comes out of the bottle but doesn’t dry as bright as you’d think, which for me is a good thing. I’d also go with two out of seven days of the week for it is what i use interchangeably with Killer Bunny – 2/7
- Bella Swan; Not too bright and not too dark, Bella Swan has the perfect in-between shade for a nice summer day. This one also has a warmer undertone which I find fitting to pair with either a hot summer’s day beach tanning session or an on-the-go grabbing a warm pumpkin latte mid-autumn. This one is one of my most commonly used shades, I’ll say a solid four out of seven days of the week, purely because I use the other ones often as well – 4/7
- Lilith; Their most popular shade for a good reason. Lilith has a warmer undertone than Twilight Princess but has a similar darkness to it. Lilith is best paired with a warmer-toned outfit and stands out best if you have a warmer skin tone. This is one of my favorite shades as well and i’ll have to give it a five days out of the week wearability. It’s dark enough to stand out but not dark to seem out of place for a normal school day – 5/7
- Twilight Princess; What I call ‘Lillith’s counterpart’, a dark red with a cool undertone that gives the most elegant winter feel to it. Named after one of my favorite Legend of Zelda games it holds a special place in my heart (and lips). This is best paired with cooler undertones. It’s a bit too dark for everyday wear, but when used as a lip liner it can be worn almost every day. So with that in mind I give it a four out of seven days of the week wearability – 4/7
- Aurora; Part of their After Dusk collection Aurora is an elegant deep purple. I got this one in a two-pack with Lilith and it quickly elevated to one of my favorites. I didn’t know at the time but the college I ended up picking (Western Carolina University) has Purple as one of their colors so I will be using it all the time to represent. Even with that said, it truly isn’t every day I can wear a purple lip stain, even when only using it as a lip liner, so I have to give it a two out of seven day of a week wearability – 2/7
- Void; I don’t think of myself as a gothic person but after seeing this fully black lipstain I knew I just had to try it. Unlike their other black “Ghoul,” Void does not have a green undertone, it is completely black. I have never seen such a dark lip color stay on for so long. Usually, you have to sacrifice longevity or color, but SushyGlow managed to perfect it without sacrificing those two vital aspects. It goes on just as smoothly as the others, (but I’d add a few extra layers just to make sure you have total coverage when dry), and has the same weightless feel. I personally don’t find myself wearing black lip stains or lipsticks often, so I have to only give this a one out of seven days of the week wearability, only really worn for special occasions. – 1/7
Full heart plump tinting lip oil: This is the product I have used the most, and it’s honestly for its convenience and for the adorable container. You’ll see this in my pocket almost 24/7, and it’s a staple in my makeup routine. It is a Zelda-inspired lip oil, and I for one was already obsessed with The Legend of Zelda, so that helps aid my obsession with this lip oil. This lip oil has a minty plumping effect and I find it amazing. I like to have a sensory feeling I can focus on and this gives me that on the go with no weird glances at myself. When I was at Disney I found myself reapplying it up to two times, as it gave me something to focus on when I got bored of just standing there. I give this a seven out of seven wearability. – 7/7
Love note blood blush (#1 dried blood blush): This is the best blush I have ever worn. I put one swipe on my brush and when applied to my face I instantly looked sunburned. I have never seen such a pigmented powdered blush before. I find myself wearing it often. The packaging itself is also fantastic. It is a little compact so it has a mirror for on the go application. I also give this a seven out of seven wearability, when I do my makeup it’s weird for me to not be wearing this now. – 7/7
Rainbow freckles (old version): Have you ever finished your makeup/ outfit and looked down while thinking “I’m missing something…” Well, search no further! What you’ve been missing is a sparkle! Some shimmer to elevate your look. With rainbow freckles you can pat some onto your face or your clothes for a long lasting shimmer effect. This product also comes with a little mirror to see how well you’ve applied it, and the pink packaging is frankly adorable. I don’t wear shimmers often. I have to give this a 3 out of seven wearability, but if you find yourself always wanting to shimmer then this is the product for you. – 3/7
Elixir lotion (lunar elixir): Perhaps you read the last review and thought to yourself “man I really want some sparkles but don’t want the hassle of patting them on, or the chance to get them on my clothes.” Well don’t you worry, with the Elixir Lotion you can apply the sparkles directly to your skin! Just rub it on like normal lotion then look at yourself in the light, you’ll see that the sparkles have truly stuck and are effortlessly shimmering. I give this a seven out of seven wearability for even if you don’t want to shine. The hydration properties of this lotion are good to use every day. – 7/7
Magic powder lip scrub (fairy dust): this is different from all the others as it is not an everyday wear situation. The Magic Powder Lip Scrub is a sometimes used product where you can use it when your lips are in need of exfoliating. It leaves a faint pink tint to your lips and due to it being only sugar is edible! It has a faint strawberry taste to it, so after you’ve finished scrubbing your lips, you can just lick the sugar right off. I haven’t tried many lip scrubs but all the others I’ve tried have either had an awful smell or texture to them. SushyGlow’s lip scrub somehow eliminates all of the negative aspects of a lip scrub and leaves you only with happy lips and a sweet taste of sugar.
Overall, SushyGlow Cosmetics has been one of the best makeup brands I have ever tried. From the cute packaging to the highly pigmented products you can’t go wrong with buying from them. They have so many other amazing products I can’t wait to try, like the lon lon milk lip gloss to the unicorn shimmer eyeshadow. Overall I rate this company a 10/10. I will definitely be buying from them again.
