Have you ever gone to the gas station to get some water and get overwhelmed at all the options? Or perhaps you’ve noticed some water bottles taste different from others. Well, today I will be reviewing four different types of water bottles to give my opinion on the topic.
To begin with, I went to the gas station with my mom in search of water. We first grabbed from the brand Evian. We then went on to pick out waters from the brands: Fiji, Zephills and Dasani. The total cost of all four water bottles was $9.86.
First off, I decided to interview a few of my peers to get an idea of what the people’s popular opinions are. My friend, Ansley Croft ‘28, claimed she preferred Dasani water.
In contrast, four of my family members (my mom, Laurie Naugle, my dad, John Naugle ‘27, my brother, Jeb Naugle, and my Grandpa, Lou Weisenburg), either preferred Evian water, or Fiji.
Moving on, I decided to try my first two brands. I began with Fiji and Dasani. I tried Fiji first, and I was quite impressed. I could tell that the water was nicely filtered. I then tried the Dassani, and to be frank, I was quite appalled. The water tasted extremely artificial, and I could not tell if it had been filtered. I was rather insulted that it was one of the more expensive bottles, as it seems to be worth half of what it cost.
After my disappointing test, I then moved on to Evian water and my Zephyrhills one. When tasting the Evian water, my tastebuds were quite pleased. The water was by far the most pure one I have tried so far, and there was no bitter after taste, like Dasani.
For my final test, I went in with high hopes for Zephyrhills, and it lived up to my expectations. It was nowhere near as good as Evian, but it was still rather delectable.
In the end, here are my final ratings for the water I tested.
First place, Evian: the water tasted as though I had freshly gone to the alps to get some water, and it was so pure that no other brands came close.
Second place goes to Fiji: the water was pure and nice, and it was particularly delicious when chilled in the fridge.
Third place goes to Zephryhills: to be genuine, it was simply– Meh.
And finally, last place goes to Dasani. I have not had such a rancid and disgusting experience with water in all my 15 years of life. I do NOT recommend buying that brand of water.
Overall, I had so much fun experimenting and testing waters! I hope to do a review again soon.
