Wounded Warrior Project

Wounded+Warrior+Project

Maddy Carroll '22, Staff Writer

The Wounded Warrior Project (WPP) is a group of veterans who serve or have served our country and are struggling with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), a mental disorder or a physical disorder. Wounded Warriors also helps the transition from military life back to what we associate with every-day life.

Each year The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) puts on a drive for goods that are then sent to the Wounded Warriors; this year NJHS has partnered with Warriors’ Wings. By donating money, we are helping fund the medical procedures and mental support that they need after having served. Episcopal’s advisories will be putting together supplies such as non-perishable food, basic toiletries, sports equipment and forms of entertainment such as board games and playing cards. Every advisory that participates will receive a spirit dress day. Hopefully, everyone in our community will participate in this amazing cause to help the people that help us every day.
