You always hear people complaining and wishing they had more time at home, and now that we all do, complaints are being thrown out like holey socks! Well, instead of complaining, I will help you cease this moment and give you a guide of things to do during this COVID-19 quarantine.

1. Start Making Healthy Diet Changes

Don’t worry, I am not suggesting you diet, but become aware of the things you are putting into your body. This change will be much easier to make when you’re not tempted to hop in the car and head to your favorite restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Still need some guidance? Here are some specific tips: drink water only, no fried food and start incorporating vitamins into your daily routine!

2. Start an At-Home Workout Program

Also in the fitness genre, begin exercising at home! Consider this: Many gyms and fitness studios will be unable to afford their rent without customers coming in daily. Supporting their online ventures will not only be beneficial to you but to them as well. Getting your body moving when you’re tempted to result to a couch potato attitude is vital! (And you’ll see great results if you pair this will switch up your diet a bit.) Pro Tip: Many brands such as Lululemon and Nike are offering ways to stay active on their social media platforms, so check out your favorite brand and influencers for inspiration.

3. Do a Deep Clean

We all have a closet, drawer or maybe even an extra room that eventually ends up accumulating to an area of junk. Take this time to take care of that and it will probably feel like a weight has been lifted from your shoulders; it did for me. This same idea can also be applied to home projects that you’ve been putting off!

4. Revisit an Old Hobby

This one is pretty self explanatory but really fun! Some examples might be knitting, reading, writing, gardening, making jewelry, doing puzzles and drawing. The possibilities are endless with this one. Pinterest is a great app if you’re looking for some ideas.

5. Do a Good Deed

While a lot of us might be bored, there are a lot of people all across the world who are dealing with unimaginable and impossible situations. People are out of work, hungry and unable to pay bills or afford groceries. Research local organizations that are putting their efforts towards lessening the burden of those experiencing the pain associated with this quarantine.
