Staff Spotlight: Ms. Cheyenne Briggs

Staff Spotlight: Ms. Cheyenne Briggs

Gertrude Hetzel '23, Staff Writer

I had the pleasure of recently interviewing Ms. Cheyenne Briggs! She started working in the Welcome Center, at the front desk. She always has a smile on her face and never fails to make a student feel welcomed. It certainly was a pleasure to learn more about her.

What made you want to work at Episcopal?

I had an amazing high school experience. When I think back to what made it memorable, it was my educators and those who worked there. They made school fun for me and gave me something to look forward to, especially Ms. Fran who worked the front desk. I wanted to work at Episcopal because I wanted to be that person for someone else. I find so much joy in working with students as they grow into different versions of themselves. The relationships and bonds created between teachers and students are unique. I believe in leaving places better than I find them, and I hope that students leave ESJ daily knowing that they are cared for and that they can count on me for a smile and words of affirmation when needed.

What is your favorite part of your job?

The students! It’s been so fun getting to know the student body. Whether it’s helping with a uniform, getting a parking decal or just stopping by to chat, the highlight of my day is seeing students here in the Welcome Center.
