The 18-3 Florida Gators are on a tear this season. The Gators solidified themselves as a top team by starting the season 13-0. The Gators also picked up a massive win against #1 Tennesee at home, beating the Vols by a whopping 30 points.
The team is led by senior guard Walter Clayton Jr., averaging 17.8 points while shooting 46.1% from the field. Clayton Jr. also leads the team in assists, averaging four a game. Alex Condon, a 6’11 “forward, leads the team in rebounds with 8.2 and also leads the team in blocks, averaging 1.5.
The addition of former FAU guard Alijah Martin has been huge for the team. Martin averages 16.1 points per game while shooting 45.9% from the field. Martin also averages 5.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists a game.
Will Richard, a senior guard, is another part of the Gator’s success this year, averaging 13 points and five rebounds per game.
Todd Golden has had a successful 3rd year as the head coach for the gators thus far. Coaching the team took a top-five AP poll rank. The highest the gators have been ranked in years.
This year has been promising for the Florida Gators, as they are looking to go deep in March Madness and contend for a national championship.
