The Episcopal boys’ lacrosse team had had a very promising season so far, with a record of 14-3. With notable wins against Bolles, Fletcher and South Walton. The lacrosse team has four seniors committed to play college lacrosse. Joey Roberts, midfielder, committed to Centre. Tre Carter, attack, committed to Hampden Sydney. Also, Jackson Soud and Colton Augustine committed to Berry.
This team is looking to make a run in this year’s playoffs with goals of making the final four and taking a trip to Naples.
The Eagles picked up a huge program win against Bolles with a score of 15-7. A feat that hasn’t happened since 2018.
Senior midfielder Dylan Hauser stated, “The game was electric! The offense played very composed and didn’t let off the gas the whole game. The defense also played incredibly, shutting down Bolles’s offense and letting us capitalize off it. Rivalry games are always fun to be a part of because of the energy and emotion. It was awesome to be a part of the team that ended the losing streak against Bolles.”
Hauser also had an outstanding game against Bolles. Scoring four goals and picking up two assists, Dylan was a huge factor in Episcopal’s win over Bolles. Earning the award of North Florida athlete of the week.
The Eagles are currently ranked 8th in the Florida 1A rankings and are looking to make a deep run in the playoffs.
Best of luck to the Episcopal lacrosse team as they finish out their season.
Will the Eagles have what it takes to make it to Naples?
