The newest addition to the cell phone policy states that you cannot hold your phone in your hand, even when it is completely turned off, during certain parts of the school day.

The males within the student body have little issues with this new rule since they have a place to put their phones, their pockets.

The females on the other hand, do not have pockets in the new skirts and dresses. To be fair, the argument faculty can make though, is that the girls do not need pockets because they can just put it in their backpacks.

It appears as though there is a strong inconsistency with this new policy. Why do the guys get to have the ability to easily keep their phones on them, but the girls do not?

When teachers see students even carrying their phones on campus, they are prompted to immediately take it away. Students in turn lose the ability to have their phones on campus for the following three days. While the phone policy may have our best interests at heart, this inconsistency cannot easily be ignored.
